Book Report

Just as a reminder, book reports are due Tuesday, September 28th. Students were given the goal of completing their book by September 21st, this would give them a week to write and type their final paper. This is the last week I will edit papers as they are due next week. Students need to begin their outlines tomorrow so any questions that may come up can be answered this week.

We are also working on narrative writing in class. Students are writing their own short story based on a picture they were inspired by. The pieces are really developing nicely, I am very proud of all the hard work students have been putting into these pieces. We will be reading another short story this week and start some of our pre-reading activities for our novels.

I hope students are sharing some of their great thoughts and ideas from discussion and writing. I am so proud to have such thinkers in my class this year.
